What Cannot Be Lost

Lo Que No Se Puede Perder

A student, flush with a rush of aliveness and a mix of joy and fear, sits with the recognition that what is sought can never be lost, only found.

What Cannot Be Lost

A student, flush with a rush of aliveness and a mix of joy and fear, sits with the recognition that what is sought can never be lost, only found.

I hear you well. My heart is pounding. I don't have very much to say, really. Just let the vitality flow, the rush of aliveness. Just seeing, no seer. It is all one flow, boundless.

The self trying to reassert

Something is trying to assert itself. Is there fear? I don't know. There is something else there, hiding.

Yes.

And what knows that? That always sees. It has been clear that this identity can disappear, but then when it returns, when the light is back, it is still there.

It is still there when it returns.

When it disappears, this truth is known: it can be gone, and you remain. Now, when it returns, do not expect that it needs to leave again. You simply know that it is here. It is not "I." Not "I." That is quite new.

Yes.

And so that vitality, that rush, I sense even a mix of joy and fear in it. That sounds perfect. Just let that flow. Nothing needs to change, and everything is changing constantly. Even within "nothing needs to change," there is movement. Everything is moving.

The habit of contraction

I keep seeing something trying to try.

Trying to try, and failing. Attempting the impossible.

I am not sure what it is trying to do. It is like an old habit.

Just the habit of it. Attempting to contract, attempting the illusion of contraction, attempting to preserve the illusion. As if to say, "This is going to be lost." But everything that can be lost does not matter.

That doesn't land.

That is what I am saying. It is not important. What can be lost is not important. What we are looking for cannot be lost. It can only be found. And it is always this.

What has been seen cannot be unseen

There is still worry about losing it.

Losing it? Losing sanity, or losing something?

Losing what is just being recognized.

The experience will change, because all experience changes. But what you have seen cannot be unseen, and that is what matters. The experiences of release will come and go. You have heard me describe this many times: there is a contraction, and then an expansion. There is an experience there. And once we are uncontracted, the experience of expansion can settle.

Following what feels right

I quite want to just go and dance outside, if that's okay.

Yes, it sounds amazing. I will enjoy that vicariously. Just let the vitality flow. Be attuned to what feels right. Listen to your body. Just that.

Thank you. That doesn't really cover it.

I understand. It is a pleasure. It is that taste.

Yes. Thank you. I am going to go outside now.

You are welcome. My pleasure.
