I Am Here
Where Am I? Tasting Beingness Beyond the Story

I Am Here

Estoy aquí

Step back from the stories in your mind and rest in the steady sense of being here, where everything you long for already is.

I Am Here

Notice where your attention is going,
the tendency to focus on a narrative, a story,
a journey in thoughts,
a journey in the imagination.

And this is so normal,
so usual,
it is assumed to be how things are.
But the normal way of experiencing is this focus on the inner narrative,
the imagination.

There is a great attachment
and a great struggle
and a desire to be free.
The longing for rest and peace and well-being.

The obstacle is this attachment to a narrative.
The antidote is the dissolving of this addiction, this attachment to the daydream.

Falling into beingness

There is simply beingness.
Falling back, or falling into this sense of
right here, right now,
I am.

Recognizing this sense of I-am-ness, the beingness,
that is here without, or prior to, thoughts.

Asking where I am

And if you ask the question,
where am I?
Where am I?
Am I in thoughts?
Am I in sensation?

Do thoughts come and go?
I am.
Sensations come and go.
I am.

Whatever is happening,
whatever has ever happened,
whatever will happen comes and goes.
I am here.

This is not a belief.
This is pointing to beingness,
a sense,
a reality.

Taste it.
Let the taste of this take over.
Swim in it, dive in it.

Not located anywhere

It may seem to be located somewhere,
a sense of I am behind the eyes and the head, or in the chest.
Notice that it is not;
those are sensations,
images.

Here is not a place.
Now is not a time.
It is what is real.
What does not change.
What does not move.

It has no place,
it has no shape,
it has no form, no color,
no texture.

Don't try to understand or think about this.
Sense it.
Taste it.
Taste the senseless, spaceless, formless beingness.
It is the source of joy,
well-being,
peace.

Let what has happened, what is happening,
let it move,
let it change,
let the mind wander.
And just taste.

Everything made of I am

All things come from I am,
thoughts made of I am,
sounds,
colors,
shapes, sensations,
forms,
made of I am.

Nothing is out there nor in here,
no boundaries.
Just I am.
Everything is here now.

Keep remembering,
returning,
sinking,
being.
I am this now.
Like an undercurrent in the waves of imagination.

Let the imagination be.
Let it flow. Let it be wild.
Just at a distance,
further and further away from the surface.

Nothing outside

Notice the tendency to interpret all experience as external,
out there,
outside of me.
How could it be known if it was outside?
How could it be tasted,
received,
experienced?
It is inside that which knows,
that which tastes.

Everything inside of I am,
made of I am,
aligned with I am.
The substance of I am.
The love of I am.
The mystery,
the beauty.
Joy,
excitement,
gentleness,
tenderness,
everything is here now.
The entire universe,
all past and future, here now.

Fullness and emptiness

Taste the richness,
the fullness,
the aliveness,
and notice the emptiness,
the spaciousness,
the boundless, timeless,
simultaneously.

Let there be a gentle smile in the heart.
Acknowledge the beauty,
the mystery,
the wonder.

Dissolve all resistance with a choice,
a big yes and a smile to what is.
Open heart.
Everything longed for is here.
