Seeing each moment as fresh and new by setting aside memory and meeting your direct experience of sound, sensation, and wonder.
Just get comfortable.
Notice there might be a sense of familiarity,
a sense that here you are sitting to meditate again,
a sense of repetition, or "I've been here before."
That does not need to change or disappear.
Just know that that experience, that familiarity, is all thoughts.
Notice how subtle and hidden and subtle that experience might be.
The freshness of this moment
The reality is, this moment,
what this is, is always fresh,
always new,
this has never been before.
Divine creation right in front of your eyes,
and through the filter of thoughts, through the filter of the mind,
everything is familiar and repetitive.
Direct experience
Just notice in your experience that sense of familiarity.
Notice your sensations,
the breath,
the sense of sound,
sight.
Notice the direct experience with sensation,
sounds,
perception.
Notice any sense of a tension between these two realities,
experience through your mind.
The familiarity of this,
and, at a much more subtle, deeper, direct level,
the wonder of this creation.
Everything appearing out of this moment
Every sound appears out of the miracle of this moment.
Every sensation appears out of the mystery of this moment.
Every thought appears out of the unknowableness of this moment,
like a gentle, subtle vortex.
Creating, dissolving, creating, dissolving,
gently moving, fluid,
empty and rich,
alive.
Dropping the memory-based knowing
Notice the habit to hold on to the mind,
hold on to the memory-based knowing.
But the miracle is always right here,
right in front of your nose.
No time is needed.
No practice is needed.
Just seeing directly.
Whatever the sense of the familiar,
the known,
the repetitive seems to fill your experience,
notice your contentment,
and by thoughts, memories,
just pure interpretation.
Knowing this directly
Know what this is directly.
Drop all memory.
Drop the past.
Put it aside.
It's all thoughts and memories.
You drop all of memories.
This becomes what it is.
A miracle,
unknowable, delightful,
beautiful.
The dance between illusion and reality
This is the dance between illusion and reality,
between contraction, struggle and freedom.
Always right now, always dancing this, right now.
The knowing of the mind, memories, interpretation,
this contraction, illusion,
when assumed to be reality.
The knowing of direct experience,
not through the mind,
not through interpretation,
is wonder, freedom,
reality resolving into the unknowable.
That sense of wonder and miracle is always here,
always possible.
Just drop the mind,
rest it aside for a moment.
Waking from the dream
This is waking up from the dream,
a gentle way.
Choose direct reality,
choose the miracle,
the unknowable,
always fresh,
always here,
always true.
As you dissolve more and more into this reality,
as the mind gets dropped more and more,
the sense of intimacy,
expansiveness,
freshness.
Freshness.
For me, it's everything.
The body as movement
The body is no longer the shape with a form, with a human form,
with a past.
The body becomes a movement of tingling sensations,
miraculously sensing, vulnerable, open.
Sounds appear everywhere,
not outside,
not inside,
just everywhere.
Inside and outside becomes a strange thought,
all forms, color, shapes dancing, moving like a gentle river.
All one singing, dancing reality,
always fresh.
Divinity in the ordinary
Divinity calling,
calling in the ordinary.
A sound could be just a voice, or a bird,
just the known, that is the mind.
The sound could be God singing.
Miracle of creation,
every sensation,
every perception.
